In this episode of the Weekly Gaucho Podcast, I talk about traveling and the tips that I have. I start the podcast off with my most recent trip, which is to Connecticut. This entails my first time  traveling with covid restrictions. Besides mask-wearing, everything else was the same as it was before. Entertainment this time around is different if you haven’t traveled in the past 5 years or so. It is a bring your device kind of situation. I also give tips on locating your suitcases during baggage claim.

Next, I talk about my past trips abroad. I’ve been to the Philippines multiple times to visit family. The tips I give for visiting the Philippines include wearing appropriate clothing and wearing your bag in the front to avoid pickpockets. I also mention things to be wary of such as typhoon/rainy season, mud, and time zone changes. Make sure you account for souvenirs when packing! Leave enough room in your suitcase for more items or bring an empty suitcase just in case.

Then I talk about my tips for visiting South Korea. I gave a brief description of where I stayed at. Then  I give tips on how to manage without speaking the language. If you can you should at least learn the Korean writing system, hangul. If you’re traveling by taxi make sure to write down the address of where you’re going, and your hotel. Following that, I talk about places I went to such as Myeongdong and Gyeongbokgung palace. Then I talk about the mistakes I made on my trip and how to avoid them. This includes navigating the subway and not doing proper planning.

I hope these tips are helpful for anyone traveling in the future. I’d also love to do more traveling and exploring the world in the future. Hopefully, I learn from the mistakes I’ve made.
