GCC Helps Students Manage Their Time by Providing Effective Time Management Resources.

Glendale Community College offers ways for students to alleviate their stress with several effective time management goals through their website.

There is a PDF that gives students ways to identify priorities and goals, analyze time spent, using time to match priorities, planning and spending time on priorities, tips on living smart time management, and tips on how to study smart. GCC also offers a Peer Success Coach website that will connect students to another peer who has graduated or is studying in the same field. This is done through either virtual or physical setting. Peer Success Coaches can be found on GCC Main Campus Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and video chats from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The way students spend their time can affect their life and school. Students who usually fail are the ones that don’t know how to manage their time. The PDF on the GCC website will help in setting goals and priorities to gain control of stress. Keeping a detailed journal of activities throughout the day to see where time is spent. Then making a decision on what hours will be spent on studying, working, exercising, sleeping, care of others, relaxing, and class time. Students will be able to choose what their priorities are and see if they are spending enough time on them. Taking control of time will allow students to be realistic with budget and time to help reach their goals. Keeping a to do list and homework log will help with assignment due dates.

If a student feels like they need that extra push or motivation please email successcoach@gccaz.edu. There is also a link to click on the websites to connect with a Peer Success Coach. These peer coaches are familiar with opportunities, programs, resources, clubs, and departments that will help with any academic support needed. Students you are not alone!
