Hey Blanca, your advertisement does a great job of being positive and direct. Many parents may want to pursuit an education but can not due to their schedules. GCC now offering childcare services makes things flexible. The decision to add links to GCC sources was smart and will help anybody who is interested in enrolling. It is important for advertisements to avoid filler. Your advertisement is quick and direct. I liked that you put, “You Choose,” as the last line of your title. I feel like this gives power to the reader and reassures them they are in control. A strong girl is also important when trying to capture someone’s attention. GCC students will read this article and be encouraged to know GCC is doing its best to help all students. I also liked when your wrote, “Don’t let time keep passing you by.” A call to action can help readers actually pursuit what they want. The positive tone of your article creates optimism. When people are optimistic, they are more hopeful and determined. Your article is beneficial to regular students who are just looking for a college to attend as well. GCC offering childcare services is a great example of how the school operates. Great Job on this.
Hi Blanca! I love that you picked this topic to write on. I know especially for myself trying to find the time and resources for classes are difficult. Adding parenthood on top of that is a huge pushback for myself and a lot of other people that I know. I love that you added all of the websites for the information that you did. Knowing what I know and what I’ve experienced, there are so many questions when you first go back. So having so much information at hand not only is helpful, but it is really encouraging as well. I think overall you did a pretty good job. I think maybe adding a bit more information about some of the service in your article would have been nice too though. I would also make a slight suggestion about adding in information about contacting and advisor in the field of study that the returning student chooses. Information like that would have helped me out so much in the beginning and so I’d like to see that highlighted for others as well. I so love how you added the encouraging phrases in your piece. That definitely boosts the confidence of your audience, which can help so much in the form of advertising.
