The pandemic took us all out of our comfort zone, and due to the quarantine and the news about COVID spread on Tv, radio, and social media, they kept the population in constant stress because we did not know what was going to happen next. Naturally, the little physical activity took its toll on our bodies, and now many people have lost their physical condition.
Many people have chosen to go for walk-in open spaces, it is a good option since there is no close contact with other people, there is enough space for everyone, and it also keeps us healthy and entertained in physical activities. Breathing fresh air (at least with a mask on) feels better after spending so much time indoors.
You can see people walking from early in the morning to late in the afternoon. So taking a 30-minute walk a day is a perfect activity to keep your heart healthy and your mind focused. There are very nice views as in the Desert Park West located at 6602 W Encanto Blvd, 85035. There is a small lake with ducks that you can feed, and there are many beautiful trees. Another park here in Phoenix is Marivue Park, located at 5625 W Osborn Rd, 85031. Both parks have parking lots, so if you live far away, you can park your car there and start your exercise routine.
We should consider mental health just as important as physical health, for many years it was put aside but during the pandemic, anxiety and depression symptoms increased considerably, and people now pay more attention to it. Exercise will not only keep you healthy but also helps produce serotonin, a chemical that promotes wellness in our bodies. So you already know a couple of places for recreation activities, remember to drink lots of water, wear comfortable sports clothes, and have fun.
