It’s great to see this program being highlighted at GCC! Looking for and applying to jobs is one of the most taxing experiences out there, so whatever can be done to help students overcome it I think its a great tool! Especially for those right out of high school or who have never had a more intensive job application, it can be hard and nerve wracking to send out your resume in hopes you get a call back. I thought it was interesting too how career interviews and job shadows are offered to students as well! It can’t be overstated enough how important it is to find something that you mesh well with in a potential career, and giving students the chance to experience them and see what it’s like can help shape and change a student’s path for the better. With employees being in high demand, and more power being given to employees as well, it’s important to show off your abilities and skills and what you bring to the table, it’s never going to hurt to practice and showcase your skills. With more practice comes progress, and for those new to the career fields and search, these tools are invaluable. Thank you for bringing this up as your article!
